Trade in your tale of woe for a tale of WOW.

Woe has no place in WOW.

Woe drags everything with it and it feels  H E A V Y. It can be exacerbated by a whole lot of well meaning people worrying about you. They are feeding you an energy, but it’s not an empowering, healthy energy, it’s a ‘we believe your life is hard too’ energy. A ‘maybe you can’t make it’ energy. What you dwell on is what you dwell in and when you have a group of people dwelling on it with you – it’s powerful, heavy and S T I C K Y like mud. Practice shaking it off your shoes so you don’t leave it on the carpet everywhere you go, and you can walk freely. Because Woe hurts when you wear it.

It gets tangled round your legs.  

It hurts when you hold it. When you re-tell it, you sit in the energy of it. It sometimes turns people against you when you can’t or don’t let it go.

They often get over it long before you do. And that can make more woe when you don’t understand why you are lonely.

So many people are telling tales of Woe while saying they want the WOW to show up in their lives.

Wow doesn’t show up, WOW is already all around you.

Woe is the Doormat and Wow is the Magic Carpet. It’s in the sky, the trees, the fragrance of flowers, in the dew on the grass in the mornings, in birdsong.

It’s in the smiles on people’s faces. Wow is the miracle of kindness, upliftment, love and peaceful spaces. It’s in the transition of caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly on the wing.

Exhilaration, Joy and Awesome Wonder are in Wow.

Wow is a privilege, not a right, wow is to be given thanks for. Wow deserves the Welcome Mat.

It’s in friendship, laughter, fresh air, it’s in the sea, in the wind and in the hearts of people the whole world over.

Wow doesn’t have to show up.

Wow is checking it’s watch to see when YOU are going to show up.

Check your Platform. If you are not experiencing Wow at least once a day – you might be on the wrong Platform and you may have been riding the wrong train of thought.

Appreciation Station is the first stop for the Wow Train. Because when you give thanks – the Wow multiplies. If you are experiencing Wow once a day – good on you, see what else you can string together with it. Hop on the peace train - make some love beads, accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative, latch on to the affirmative and... what’s that you’re not supposed to mess with?

Just like the chicken or the egg – we are not exactly sure which comes first. But one thing I know is that just like the old saying ‘seeing is believing’ - believing is also seeing.

If you’re not experiencing Wow - check your eyesight and flip your gratitude switch on.

Wow = The Way of Wonder, and it’s a wonderful way to be.

Angel Art Class...

I’m very excited about the Angel Art Class tomorrow – if any of you are dragging your feet worried you can’t do it – I can assure you that you can.

Give it the A.R.S.E...

Give LifeAche the A.R.S.E.
If there is nothing you can do about someone or something, moaning or getting mad or sulky isn't going to help.
Let it go.
If someone left you or ran off with someone - let them. If they can't see your magic - they are not your person. Be grateful they have left a space for someone who will, and then go out and BE magic.
To do that - you're going to have to let it go.
If someone was trying to control you - you would get mad.
If a situation had you hostage - you would be sad.
Let it go and it won't, they won't, let it go and you will feel better.
Focusing on misery doesn't bring you freedom, joy or anything good. It just makes you worse.
Let it go.
Adjust your goggles.
You are made of stronger stuff.
Don't tell me you are falling down, I've seen humans getting up from worse. I don't believe in your powerlessness. But I see you believe in it.
Let it go.
You will not only release yourself from ties/bondage or being a victim, you will be lighter, fresher and more able to focus on the present. You are not looking at the magic if you are a grouch.
And grouches hate magic - it's stupid and uplifting and joyous and childish, but hey - if you want to stay there... in GrouchLand... be my guest. 

Or take your power back and give all that misery stuff the A.R.S.E. - be braver about joining in to life, and if you have trouble, or you don't know where to start - come see me.
I have a map to a different place that will do you wonders.
I call it treasure island, but really it's just the magical part of you - and I know it's in there.

Let that go and you will unleash miracles.
And then you're cooking.

Anyone that can put down the 'stuff', starts enjoying themselves, has a smile on their face and is open to a little bravery or adventure is shaping up to be a little bit sensational...

Now... what would it take to get you there?

As you wish...

When you realise you are so much more powerful than you could possibly imagine - and that this whole journey is so much simpler with a genuine dose of grace, you will stop fighting, drop your resistance that causes you soooo much pain, and be.
You wish to believe it's hard?
I'm not here to argue with you, so I am simply going to say - as you wish.
You wish to believe you can't have peace?
As you wish.
You wish to believe you can't have healing?
As you wish.

Or do you wish to believe it's easy?
As you wish.
It's true, it's mind over matter. Sceptics will claim that when you demonstrate energy to them. And they are right. Energy and spirituality are both a form of science.
Mind science.
Don't believe in magic? As you wish.
Maybe this is more palatable to you.... As you choose.
It's really the same thing.
This life for you could be fantastic and magical, should you choose to make it so.
The power of positive thinking is well known, the power of mind over matter also well known and documented.
The power therefore is the power of words...
If you repeat words of gentleness such as grace, peace, love, tranquility, serenity, sweetness, light, harmony for a few minutes and then follow them up with some less gracefilled ones, the golden feeling of peace that arrived in your body from the gentleness will immediately depart it.

Your words, thoughts and intentions are magic.
I don't mind how powerless you believe yourSelf to be, whether you congratulate yourSelf on your scepticism, your cynicism or your protective wall you put up to lock others out.
I have no opinion about all those choices you make.
None of that makes any difference to the fact that you create as you speak, and what you dwell on you ultimately dwell in.

My question to you is this:

Whether you are happy or unhappy - what are you using your magic for?

Todays Rant: Love, Engagement, Light & Magic...

Todays Rant...

Deepak Chopra is amazing - listening to him just kickstarts all my stuff and inspires me to write more. A lecture he gave in Tagore yielded these notes:

Just 20% of people in the world are in jobs they love.
If people are ignored by the boss at work - their rate of disengagement is at 40%. If the boss criticises them, the rate drops to 20% - meaning they respond better to criticism than being ignored. If they are praised it goes right down to 1%.

The source of these figures is a Gallup World Poll. (Deepak is one of the Gallup scientists)

So I started thinking about how this would affect love relationships.
Because I am an ex ‘sports widow’ that has lived the experience of being ignored.
One of the last times I watched Oprah (about 15 yrs ago) I saw Dr Phil on her Show.
He had a couple with him and the man was complaining about his wife and their bad relationship.

He said she had let herself go and was fat and unattractive and they weren't having sex. 

She said she felt like he didn't care, she was just the machine that ran the house etc and she didn't feel attractive so sex wasn't really on her list, she was too stressed out.

Dr Phil asked her when her husband last told her she was beautiful. She couldn't remember.

So he gave them homework. Daily - even though the husband didn't feel that way and she would think it was rubbish, her husband was to look into her eyes and tell her she was beautiful - for a month and then come back to the Show. That was it.

They came back.

He was holding her hand and the light was shining out of her. He couldn't stop smiling.

She looked radiant and amazing.

They had done their homework.

The first few days felt like lies and they weren't engaged with it. Slowly but surely they both secretly realised they were looking forward to it. Then one day (on about day 24) they just cried and held each other. They had found their way home.

She had lost weight too – her wall had come down and her heaviness had lifted.

And of course they couldn’t get enough of each other.

Did you notice my use of the word engaged?

Magic is there for us in the moment we engage with it.

When people fall in love and get married – engagement is more than a time for a ring - it's a description of how they are with each other. When they get married, some people disengage.

But the clever ones don't.

About 5 years ago a lady came to me and said she had no magic in her relationship, her life was hard and she was unhappy with her husband. I asked if she thought he might try a little exercise. She said he might, so I asked her to work with this…

 “To me you are beautiful and I see the whole world in you.”

They did it. She came back beaming. It’s so, so, simple.

A closed person in a relationship is closed also to themselves.

There is a reason why they don’t feel joy or a reason why they don’t want to feel joy.

A spirit can be squashed or broken, it’s not anyone’s fault, it just is what it is. For a moment of time that spirit needs healing, coaxing, kindness and to be held in the palm of a hand filled with love.

It’s all about shifting focus. Shifting energy. And sometimes it’s all about courage and compassion - we are never the sum of our worst acts, we are fluid and we rest in between our life experiences, the worst acts, and the fullest potential. We can only draw from within that which we are willing to experience, or indeed that which we believe we are worthy to experience. This is also true of others.

This means our ‘vision’ for ourselves, for others and for our relationships, friendships, family and love must be carefully nurtured to include the vision of wholeness and wellness. Even in the moments when they seem to be hanging by a thread. Because nobody is really broken, even when they feel like they are. Even when, if viewed by ‘society’, they would be judged as broken.

We know there is no such thing as ‘normal’ – that its just a description of a statistically derived idea, however plenty of people call themselves normal, and they judge others, from that (very shaky) platform.

Who has a right to judge when each spirit on the planet is crying out for honouring and for love?

All acts of unlove are calls for love. Can you be in a space to see this?  

Can you create or bring forth and be the light to illuminate the way for yourself and others?

Even when you are tired?  Even when you want more for yourself and it seems like everyone around you just wants it their way? Can you reach in and find the reserve inside and know that the light you hold within is supported by others; that all light really is joined and you are just suspended in a matrix of gold? There really is no separation. We are all in this together.

If you want something changed… you change it.

Change the way you see it. Change the way you react to it.

Change how you hold it in your perception.

Nurture it. Engage. (if you don’t know where to start – see me)

Two months ago another lady came to me and said her husband was boring and her relationship wasn’t magical anymore. I asked her to consider whether or not she was making it magical.

She wasn’t.

It’s up to someone, one person or both can take the wall down.

If you engage with yourself you also make your own beauty and magic. If you engage with others, you enhance theirs. And if you are willing to see magic and light where there is pain and suffering, then you become a bridge of grace and healing. A torch in the fog. A creator of miracles. A way for other souls to get home.  

And magic is where it’s at. I’m not talking about pulling rabbits out of hats. No it’s MUCH more wonderful, more miraculous than that. Light infuses everything – if you let it.

We sometimes forget to. And that’s why I’m here.

Inspiration

My inspiration this week comes from an awesome lady by the name of Louise Hay – most of you will have heard of her.

Louise started her journey with personal healing after a tough start in life and several crises one after another.

Working on herself and others - she used Reiki extensively and dedicated herself to helping people.

Louise sometimes stays in bed till midday writing. (I may have done this) She makes it a policy to live in the present – sometimes hard to do – and she creates her own magnificent life.

But what if she didn’t? What if she just gave up and wasn’t Louise Hay? She has sold over 40 million (that is not a typo) of her You Can Heal Your Life books.

These started from her healing notes, a little pamphlet that became a wee book and over time became a runaway sensation healing physical symptoms at the cause by uncreating unwell conditions with affirmations.

She is truly amazing, and to meet her in person last year was such a blessing, she is loaded with energy.

That journey started with one step at a time, and yours has too. What are you called to do? And where will it take you?

Too Often...

Too often we fall back into what we know because we are comfortable. Even when it hurts.

It could be an abusive relationship – with someone or one with ourselves.

Any relationship that cuts us, wounds us or makes us feel hurt in any way is one that invites us – over and over to grow. Taking up the invitation can feel like drinking poison, because taking up the invitation means we step into an unknown world. A world where we have no reference points.

A world where we have to feel as we go. A world where sometimes, when we get a knock or a bump it sends us scurrying back to what we know – saying “see? I told you this was impossible!”

Taking up the invitation can mean we have to have faith or trust in something bigger than ourselves, something that sounds like the God Department – a place where we have asked before but been dissatisfied by the answers we got, or by what we received. So we go on falsely believing sometimes that there is nothing special about us, never realising that it takes more strength to sit in our pain and hard spaces, and it takes more out of us to do so – mad that God just doesn’t fix everything – so he/she/it can’t be real, not realising that we are being given an invitation by grace to push through that last barrier and be truly free to fly.

When we are the perpetrator of this abusive relationship – when our self talk is all about how we have done nothing right, haven’t made it yet, or haven’t got what other people measure success by, we are locked in a battle of dark versus light. Even though we know the darkness is painful, it’s easier to hide from the blinding rays of the sun and the truth – that we are powerful beyond measure – that the world is waiting for us to show up – when we show up our hearts deepest desires will show up and that we are glorious in our bright plumage. Instead we retreat, curled in the shade and lick our wounds.

When we are locked in this space of an abusive relationship with another – despite all appearances – we are still the perpetrator, time after time allowing our fingers to be burned by the same fire, usually with a lack of self belief holding us hostage. We would teach our children to avoid a fire – and they would learn pretty fast too, never to put their fingers there again – but then they don’t tend to have that lack of self belief until they have accepted it or learned it from another person. As we sometimes did.

We so often judge. It’s safer to judge others from our position of pain, vibrating in the frequency of wounding. So we filter them through our visioning system until we have decided we are justified in our self abuse and wounding because the world is a bad place – it doesn’t always give us what we want. Sometimes though it gives us what we need and we are too afraid to take it. When we come out into the sunlight, the bright light that stings our eyes tells us that we were right in hiding, that we should have continued to protect ourselves – here after all is another wound… but sometimes the new wound is there to help us build our immunity, and if we don’t count our overcoming obstacles and struggles as survival, or as a badge of honour – if we look at our past experiences and view them as mistakes, without recognising that they have their gifts, if we choose to ignore our goodness, our love at the heart of ourselves and our nurturing, caring nature and gifts, then we will never see that we glow with our own magical pulsing light.

Though sometimes dim – we really do glow. If we didn’t have it we would never be able to see our way in the darkness. And even when it feels like the darkness is caving in on us – we are still light.

For we are light beings. This is not just new age spiritual terminology – it’s a truth. And the way to know this is to gently press your fingers on your closed eyelids and hold them there.

You are illuminated from within by your truth. I told you so. And now you have done it.

What does it mean? It means you cannot really hide from the light. No matter what you carry within you, there is nowhere to go. You can only hide from your own greatness, but it’s there all the same.

If you really took a moment to see how far you had come on your journey – how many steps you had taken through adversity, how many people love you dearly – known and unknown, and how valued and dreamed of you were before you arrived here – no matter what happened after you got here – or indeed who brought you into this world, if only you remembered that you chose these people, this journey and all the wonderful gifts you are receiving, you would shed tears of joy at your own homecoming. You would know that the darkness cannot fool anyone for long. You would know that when you take light into a dark room it brightens, and when you take dark into a light room it remains light. Why? Because the light is the truth that always remains. And the light is God or Source energy. Sometimes you want to look away from the light, but the light never ever forsakes you. It is your ever-present miracle. It is where you came from and where you return to.

This is a time of great change, and we can no longer take our illusions with us and some light workers are finding it incredibly difficult to step into their power at present.

Know this, the difficulty you are having is a reflection of how powerful you will become once you do so. Your best ally in this growth is to release the temptation you have to berate yourself for not being what you feel you should be. You are perfect in your perceived imperfection. The imperfection is an illusion of ego, a safety net in order to stop you from taking responsibility and therefore brings you a false sense of safety within the trap. Once you understand the trap is there to stop you from having your beautiful life – a life that really could be more than you dreamed of, you can release the trap – for you hold the key. If it brings you pain and you truly don’t want the pain, create a program of kindness to set yourself free. The key is and has always been kindness.

Kindness bridges gaps, transcends language barriers and emotional distress. Kindness to yourself is the springboard to honouring and self love. And self love is where it’s at.

When you love yourself you guide the way for others to love you too.

When you can be unconditional you pave the way for miracles and wild creational power.

So start with gentleness. And no matter who it is that is in your world creating the opportunities for you to have resistance or pain, start with something so simple as a mantra to send the self talk into its own burial ground. Because that IS where it belongs.

Perhaps you might start with something like this…

I am enough. Or these….. I will do what I can do today. I am the light of the world. I am a part of creation. I am one with the mind that thought me up.  I am loved, loving, lovable - I am love, you are love, we are love. Or perhaps, really, you know what would be best, maybe you can create words that resonate. Maybe it just feels like more hard work – but the rewards are huge. So do stick at it. And remember something else… we are here to experience many things - one of them is great joy, sometimes it can be balanced with great sadness, but just like the rainbow follows the rain – all conditions are temporary. And what you dwell on, is ultimately what you dwell in – so focus on that which you would like to bring forth from yourself.

I’d recommend checking out your light behind your eyelids first. And hey – if you are wearing contacts… do yourself a favour and take them out first - ok?

Be in charge of your world today.

I Know You - A Poem for Deb, by Gill Gibbs

I KNOW YOU

I know the child in you

The little girl who, through vividly blue eyes

Sees a rainbow coloured world glittering in all its glory.

The one whose spirit dances to the melody of shimmering silence

And who plays with imaginary friends sporting angel wings.

The little girl who in her quest for knowledge

Asks a million unanswered questions

Knowing there is nothing new to be learned here

Simply, that truth and wisdom will long since be remembered.

I know the perfect child in you.

 

I know the woman in you

The glorious goddess manifesting her life purpose

Wholly by believing in the guidance of spirit.

The daily struggle to accept herself

Not for all the things that aren’t good enough but rather,

For all the things that are absolutely perfect.

This beautiful, radiant, passionate romantic heroine

Who in her own naivety possesses an irresistible magnetism

That is your soul made visible; the discovery of your glorious

authentic self.

I know the perfect woman in you.

 

I know the Mother in you

The supreme nurturer who relentlessly strives to honour an essential union,

Entrusted with the guardianship of another soul

The inherent nature of which, is akin to the simplicity of breathing.

Who feverently supports, cajoles, admonishes, defends and unconditionally loves her children,

As she watches their miraculous journey into adulthood.

The Mother who lives by the grace of invisible bonds

Connected to her children in ways that cannot be fathomed.

I know the perfect Mother in you.

 

I know the teacher in you

The woman who carries forth inspiration like a mantle;

Lessons and wisdom painted across the journal of discovery

Who in the elusive search for a soulmate, struggled to find herself.

The teacher in you was born the student

Learning sacred lessons through passion, betrayal and forgiveness.

One day you stopped chasing the wrong dream and trusted in the deeper intention of your heart.

It brought you home to who you really are

Look in the mirror and recognise your authentic self.

I know the healer in you

The woman with a perfect capacity to love the world and;

And an inner power that is divine love.

The choice to stand in a field of infinite possibility

You are a blessing...

You are a blessing……

Hey you! Yes you. No don’t look behind you, I am actually talking to you. Yes it’s a little weird, I know, but there you go. By now you will have figured out that I don’t really do things by the book.

So I just wanted to say that I appreciate the things you do every day. I know I don’t personally see them, but I know that there are times when you go the extra mile and hang in there more than you thought you could and stick to it when you’d rather say “bugger it” and give up.  I know you don’t necessarily get enough sleep and that sometimes you want to stop the world and get off. I even know that sometimes, no matter how nice you are people can still be mean and sometimes for a while anyway, you’re kinda stuck with them. But that, my friend, is their rubbish, not yours.

They have to be in it every day and you get to choose what you dwell in, and what you carry round.

Wash it off, brush it off and inhale nature to clear yourself, let it roll off as much as you can.

I’d like you to know that while you sometimes think doing your best goes completely unrewarded, that unseen eyes watch and applaud your growth.

And that because of your efforts, the world is made a little nicer every day.

 Don’t give up and don’t be discouraged. Do what you are guided to do. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you’re not good enough, because you are more than fantastic. You are a miracle of creation; made of probably around 80 trillion cells (mostly) all working in harmony. You are actually a miracle without doing a single thing. How’s that for no pressure?

Do the things that make your heart sing. Play lots of music, move your body. Get a massage or give yourself one.

Light a candle for you. Don’t wait for anyone else to love you before you do. Be silly and be kind, playfulness is good for you and so is spending time with people that make you laugh.

Take every good opportunity that comes your way.

Believe you deserve the best and you will receive it.

Be your own best friend.

And… when people ask you how you are look them straight in the eye and tell them you are fabulous or fantastic or even bloody marvellous. (You’re a miracle before you even get out of bed remember?) They don’t expect it, it wakes them up out of their run of the mill stuff and it really does make them wonder what the heck you’ve been up to.

Be as You as you can possibly be. You are needed here.

And I love it when you smile.

"I want a partner, but there are no decent single men out there."

Now ladies who are looking for a lovely single guy - how on EARTH are you going to find love if that's your belief and what comes out of your mouth???

I BEG your pardon, but did you just say that in all the world - there are no decent men while also saying that you wanted one???

If your belief is that lovely men are mythical creatures like Unicorns, then buy yourSelf a big hanky because the Unicorns missed the Ark.

Set the Universe up with something a little less confusing.

Can you imagine the Angels trying to work all this out?

 ....."Yeah Gabriel? It's Mike here again - Ok - this lady has ordered a decent guy, but she has set her world up to not include decent guys. Get the BACK ORDER book out, and just put her name in on page 11,483,384, 333. With all the other ladies who are bitching about the world being full of assholes."

 "Oh Our God Mike - not AGAIN?! Do we give them all another asshole?

Humans are happiest when they are right Mike - what are we going to do?

They are going to say we haven’t delivered yet and that it’s all our fault!

Haven't they worked out yet that they will all be right *until* they change their minds?"

 "I know Gabriel - they could give an Angel a break... and while you are at it - you might as well tell the decent men to stay home, because these women obviously aren't ready for them."

 Sheesh.

So... the world is full of beautiful people. And if you are looking for a gorgeous man or a gorgeous woman - stop looking and be gorgeous yourSelf.

One will show up when you are having a great time and when you believe the planet is loaded with them. In the meantime... stow your crappy affirmation where it belongs - in the Unconditional Love Rubbish Bin.
